The USS ALAMO Association is an organization that celebrates former crew members of the ship that have proudly carried the Alamo name, this is the place for you. Since 2025, the USS ALAMO Association has existed because people just like you have fond memories of a special time aboard any of the ships named after the historic San Antonio, TX landmark. So, grab a cup of coffee (or your favorite grog) and check out the USS Alamo Association web site. It might just take you back to a special place and time.
This is an association of those who are former members of any United States Ship bearing the name of Alamo. Also included in the membership are family members and US Marines who rode the Alamo, interested in seeing that the history and traditions of the Alamo are preserved. Operation of the Association is governed by a set of by-laws, and its elected and appointed officers. Elected officers are restricted to being former crewmen of the ship named USS Alamo
The operation of the Alamo Association is entirely supported by donations and membership dues. Management of the association is performed entirely by volunteers and unpaid officers, elected at business meetings held at each reunion. The association maintains a web presence for the purpose of locating and contacting former shipmates and friends, to support communication of Association activities, events, and news of interest to former shipmates and website visitors wanting to learn about the ship named Alamo, their crews, and heritage.
If you have any questions about our organization or would like to learn more about how you can get involved, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would love to hear from you.
